Please note: this is NOT a remote position and will require relocation to Austin, TX Job Overview We are looking for a Game Test Engineer II who loves perfecting software and working closely with designers, artists, and software engineers.
You’ll be part of the DevQA team, embedded in our development studio, and responsible for testing, automating, supporting, and creating the greatest casino games here at AGS.
What you’ll do… Examine game requirements and design test plans for multiple concurrent projects.
Test gameplay, math, platform, and regulatory features in an Agile integration environment.
Execute manual ad-hoc scenarios, as well as system, regression, and smoke test cycles.
Embed with a game engineer to test every iteration of feature implementation.
Assist developers with debugging and reproducing difficult edge cases and field issues.
Maintain and manage existing automated and manual test suites.
Demonstrate complete ownership of a project from kickoff to handoff.
Analyze code changes and check-ins for regression impact.
Review and regularly audit test coverage and test scenarios.
Protect the development process by providing a wide range of technical support.
We’re looking for… Bachelor’s degree in computer, engineering, scientific, or related field.
At least four (4) years relevant and technical work experience.
Proven understanding of programming, automation, or CLI.
Proven success with testing techniques and critical thinking skills.
Strong experience with ALM and test management suites.
Experience with software test design, testing methodologies, and the STLC.
Comfortable with multitasking and working with shifting requirements.
Positive communication skills and enthusiasm for collaboration and team-building.
Would be great if you have… Proven experience testing video games or land-based slot machines.
Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Jenkins, Bugzilla, or Unity.
