Your responsibilities in this role
– Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections
– Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll
– Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
– Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules
– Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents
– Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time
– Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
– Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Job Requirements:
– Proficiency in account reconciliation
– Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)
– Credit Card Reconciliation experience
– Foundational knowledge in bank reconciliations
– Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Excel
– Proven knowledge of journal entries
– General familiarity with Financial Statement
– Quality experience with VLOOKUP
– Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
– Well-founded grasp of month end closings
– Practical knowledge of Pivot Table
– Quickbooks and Peachtree experience desired
– Background in payroll preferred
– Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
– High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
– Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required
– Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting
– Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
– Highly organized and self-motivated
– Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
– 5+ years of experience in the bookkeeping field
