SUMMARY

Total Airport Services (TAS) Ramp Agent (below wing) is responsible for ramp operation in preparation for specific carrier arrival and departure in compliance with all TAS safety regulations, operational standards and policy compliance while effectively demonstrating TAS organizational guidelines as defined in our Best in Class program.

~~ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Ramp Agent is responsible to:

– Marshal and park aircraft at the gate.

– Performs Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walks prior to aircraft arrival and departure.

– Prepare and/or Operate ground support equipment (GSE) (tugs, conveyors belts, tow tractors, loaders, water/lavatory service vehicle) for safe operation in preparation for aircraft arrival/departure.

– Prepares ramp for next arriving aircraft.

– Communicate with Ground personnel, Operations and Flight Crew providing aircraft arrival and departure information and feedback.

– May provide potable water, lavatory, and cleaning services to aircraft upon request.

– Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

– Adhere to all carrier/customer and Customs Border Protection (CBP) requirements.

– Possibly load and unload unit load devices (ULD’s) containing mail and freight from aircraft.

– Possibly load and unload passenger baggage to/from aircraft

– Perform any other duties as assigned.

NOTE: TAS Applicants must in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards pass a security clearance (for airport security purposes) a federal background check, be fingerprinted, and complete the required educational course(s) prior to being issued an airport badge, and Customs Border Protection seal.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED; OR up to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS

Valid State Driver’s License

OTHER REQUIREMENTS  
– Security Clearance, (for airport security purposes) pass a 10-year background screening.
