This position is for a First Line Support Optical Competency Project Lead with innovative attitude to work in the Production Engineering department in Wilton Factory. Candidate will lead a group of FLS Production Engineers with multiple technical skills.This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Role and responsibilitiesResponsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering group investigating technical issues both analytically using design documentation and physically with hands-on in a production environment.Responsible for driving cross-sector team to develop immediate containment action plans along with structural solutions for the root causes of production floor disturbances.Support First Line Support production engineering team with involving cross-sector resources needed for multi-discipline structural solutions.Responsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering to disposition DNs/MNs within department targets.Responsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering group supporting and maintaining module manufacturing processes.Responsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering to support cross-sector team of engineers to converge on an overall design solution that addresses comprehensive production manufacturability with high level of diagnostics for troubleshooting.Represent and support First Line Support Production Engineering teams in progress reviews and cross-sector meetings.Responsible for leading First Line Support Production Engineering group supporting operations to deliver modules on time that meet high standards of quality.Report production status, issues, gaps and barriers to Sr. Management.Timely escalate in case of issue that can’t be solved within the own circle of influence.Drive internal DN KPIs development and maintenance.Support production Tier meetings especially towards structural solutions.Support cross-sector teams to achieve high standards of quality for both product and tooling.Support DRB/MRB meetings for all the modules for the three business lines.Participate in CCB/Triage meetings to drive structural solutions for top hitters creating sound business cases utilizing the AIR System.Support PFMEA and Design Reviews for high profile disturbances.Support management with headcount analysis using DN/MN data.Support CT/LH roadmaps using DN/MN data. Education and experienceMinimum BS in Engineering.MS or MBA preferred.2-5 years of experience working in production engineering environment for new products, including at least 2 years in a leading technical or management role.Experience in developing Manufacturing readiness plans to introduce new products into Production.Experience in leading cross-sector teams to implement Manufacturing readiness plans for new product industrialization.Experience in developing budgetary needs for facilities, capital equipment and headcount.Experience in managing new product introduction and industrialization.Background in optical engineering is preferred.Background in opto-mechanical metrology equipment/interface to data acquisition is preferred.
