Estimator

Role and Responsibilities Primary role will be functioning as construction expert performing take-offs, estimating, project management, and client relations in the Twin Cities area.

Role includes the following: Review scope of work to accurately measure project specifications Utilize estimating software to generate various prices for different scopes of work Obtain necessary information on pricing from vendors and subcontractors Draft and send formal proposals to clients Create job starts (POs) in company software once job is awarded Support the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors when job is awarded Provide material list and assist project team with scheduling deliveries Assist project team with scheduling crews to complete work Other duties (including but not limited to): Write Xactimate estimates and submit to insurance companies Negotiate insurance loss summaries Order and review Eagle View reports for upcoming projects Submit materials to ITEL Laboratories Qualifications and Education Requirements 3 years’ experience in construction and/or estimating.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Must work well both independently and as a team.

Self-starter with proven ability to exceed goals.

Willingness to learn additional skills required.

Preferred Skills Applicant must have a basic knowledge of the construction industry.

Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Xactimate required.

Experience with Sage CRM or other client relationship management software preferred.
