HVAC Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Los Angeles International Airport)

Shift: 2nd 1:00pm-9:30pm

Pay: $35.00-$43.00/Hr.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Engineer with a valid California C-20 license to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration units
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including proper handling of refrigerants
  • Provide clear explanations and recommendations to clients regarding HVAC system operations and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry advancements and best practices
  • Respond to emergency calls as needed, including evenings and weekends

Requirements:

  • Valid California C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractor license
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
  • Familiarity with local and state building codes and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification
  • Experience with energy management systems and smart HVAC technologies
  • Knowledge of green building practices and energy-efficient HVAC solutions
