Position InformationJob Title: ERM Risk AnalystDepartment: Enterprise RiskFLSA Status: ExemptReports to: Enterprise Risk Governance Officer Full/Part Time Status: Full-TimeWork Location: Los Angeles, CATravel Requirement: 0-20%Education/Experience Requirements Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree Minimum Years of Experience: 3-5 yearsCombination of Experience and Education can meet the job requirements: YesLanguage RequirementEnglish: Written: Advanced Verbal: AdvancedKorean: Written: Intermediate or Advanced Verbal: ConversationalComputer/Systems Knowledge Requirements Microsoft Outlook: Intermediate or Advanced Microsoft Word: Intermediate or Advanced Microsoft Excel: Intermediate or Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint: Intermediate or AdvancedResponsibilities & Duties• Assist with regulatory examinations by organizing exam logistics, creating instructions and corresponding with management, and at times directly with regulators, coordinating and facilitating the collection of requested materials, reviewing materials for accuracy, uploading documents, and facilitating file sharing as needed of ±17 exams annually.• The ERM Analyst will be a part of the Project to prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annually prepared reports by compiling data and summarizing information for the Enterprise Risk Team. This includes, but is not limited to monthly and quarterly risk dashboards, Risk Appetite Statement, and the Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment.• Assist in the analysis and challenge to risk owners on the risk dashboard, Risk Appetite Statement, and risk assessments, including reviewing and analyzing the RCSA.• Conduct trend analyses, identify top and emerging risks, and consult with Risk Owners.• Conduct root cause analyses and develop proper action plans.• Assist in the analysis of regulatory matters and action plans, such as supervisory recommendations, to identify trends and/or systemic issues, inconsistencies, errors, etc.• Assist in the review and analysis of ERMC materials to write comprehensive ERMC meeting minutes. This requires building knowledge and expertise in all 10 risk categories along with moderate to expert writing skills.• Assist the Enterprise Risk Team in scheduling, planning, and assembling presentation materials and packages, including, but not limited to the following committees: Enterprise Risk Management Committee, Board Risk Committee, Regulatory Oversight Committee, and full Board risk items.• Assist with virtual applications and technologically driven platforms to maintain online inventories and repositories of policies, procedures, charters, reports, training materials, schedules, meetings and the like. This requires assistance with process improvements, analyzing and understanding processes and controls, and corresponding with senior management.• Assist with Project Tracking Management by communicating new and follow-up items with risk managers and completing project tracking updates for review.• Assist in managing the policy management platform by review documents for proper adherence to the Enterprise-Wide Policy and Document Policy, and assist in the development of quarterly monitoring reports.• The ERM Analyst will be the Project Manager in creating ERM budgets and trends.• The ERM Analyst will be a member of the team to generate presentations, memorandums, correspondences or ad hoc reports as requested by the CRO.• Gather and maintain monthly schedules and develop yearly schedules for the Risk Team.• Organize and maintain documents, and process routine correspondences.• The ERM Analyst will be the Project Manager in developing a cohesive enterprise risk training program.• Assess additional training needs and evaluate available resources.Job Qualifications/Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related equivalent experience.• 3+ years of experience in operations, project management, analytics, or a related role for a large-scale business, preferably in the banking industry.• Knowledge of risk and control concepts.• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data and provide summary reports and recommendations.• Direct experience with the executive management, regulators, auditors, consultants in the industry.Physical DemandsLifting/Carrying:Under 10lbs: Occasional (1%-33% of the time) Under 20 lbs: Occasional (1%-33% of time) Pushing/Pulling:Under 20 lbs: Occasional (1%-33% of time) Twisting/Turning:Reach over shoulder: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Reach over head: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week)Reach Outward: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week)Climb: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week)Crawl: Rarely (Less than 1 hour perweek) Kneel: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Squat: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Sit: Constant (Over 66% of time)Walk-Normal Surfaces: Frequent (34%-66% of time) Walk-Uneven Surfaces: Rarely (Less than 1 hour per week) Stand: Frequent (34%-66% of time)Bend: Frequent (34%-66% of time) OtherKeyboard/Ten Key: Constant (Over 66% of time) Fingering (fine dexterity): Constant (Over 66% of time) Handling (grasping, holding): Constant (Over 66% of time) Repetitive Motion – Hands: Occasional (1%-33% of time) Repetitive Motion – Feet: Occasional (1%-33% of time)
