Job Description

This is a full time EPSON large format/plotter break fix position in the Los Angeles, CA area:

Please note network experience is nice, however our emphasis is on mechanical more than networks. EPSON training/certification required. Additional training may be provided.

Ascertain equipment performance problems from Customer.
Diagnose machine performance problem.
Fix machine through repair of parts, subassemblies, retrofits; vacuum parts, machine & area as necessary.
Test machine for performance.
Provide preventive maintenance to all machines after service call.
Check client’s inventory of machine supplies.
Instruct Customers/machine operators on machine operation.
Complete required machine service logs, inventory sheets, and clear call on Laptop computer (PWS) or android.
Provide quality customer and relations through use of Customer management skills and other Employees.
Provide backup to other FST’s in Workgroup.
Escalate technical issues to Field Engineering or Specialist as necessary.
Escalate Customer issues to manager if unable to resolve.
Provide asset management of assigned parts, tools and other D1 / EPSON Assets.
Strive for continual process improvements.
Maintain parts and inventory.
Drive/walk to customer locations.
Operate cell phone and Laptop computer PWS.
Use Laptop computer (PWS), keypad on console, Electronic Documentation for diagnosis.
Time management.
Vehicle Management
Interaction with other work group members.
Attend technical training.
Complete required Safety training topics annually.
Certifications A+ – UNIX will be desired

Accountable for but not limited to providing service to Epson customers with leased, purchased, or third party equipment and function as the technical expert for selected large format and plotter products.
