is seeking a Dynamics/Vibration Test Engineer for their Chatsworth, CA testing laboratory.
Five(5) years’ experience in operating electrodynamics vibration systems is required.
Proficiency in the Programming and Operation of vibration/shock control systems as well as instrumentation setup, installation and troubleshooting is expected.Ability to setup and perform vibration/shock testing on electrodynamics shaker systems including:Mechanical setup of vibration test fixtures and customer test articles.Instrumentation setup and installation.Changing shaker axis configurations.Troubleshooting techniques.Job Requirements:Qualified applicant(s) should meet the following requirements:-Strong communication and team building skills and excellent attention to detail.
Applicant must be a well-organized individual, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer focused environment.
Competence working with MSOffice programs is required.-Advanced knowledge of Laboratory Test Equipment, such as pressure gauges, electronic/electrical meters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition equipment.Ability to use mechanical hand tool and torque wrenches to setup test fixtures.Familiarity in setting up and/or supporting other aspects of the environmental test lab such as shock testing, thermal and vacuum testing is also desirable.-Prior experience working in a physical or an environmental test laboratory and having a basic knowledge of military and aerospace compliance standards, with some experience of space, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environments is required.Additional Requirements:-Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet customer schedules.-Must be able to list and carry up to 25-lbs.
