ICON PR is seeking a bright and energetic Part-Time Assistant to join our team! ICON PR is a Los Angeles-based entertainment, digital, and music public relations firm representing both breakout and established talent. This is an occasional in-office/work-from-home position, you must currently live in the Los Angeles area. | APPLICANT MUST CURRENTLY BE BASED IN LOS ANGELES & AVAILABLE FOR A PART-TIME POSITION.
Responsibilities:
- Assist two publicists + overall team in managing day-to-day tasks
- Keep up to date with all clients
- Develop press materials, coordinate media requests and outreach, research new key media contacts, assist talent on-site at events and photoshoots, help handle company social media, and provide administrative support as needed
- Create pitch letters, media lists, press clippings, and press kits to ensure maximum coverage
- Always be ready to provide team support
- Positively represent ICON PR at all times
Qualifications:
- Must be available to work 20hrs/week
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or Media-related major preferred – OR 6-months minimum of prior PR agency experience
- Desire to work in Entertainment Public Relations field long-term
- Strong interest in entertainment, digital and music celebrity talent publicity
- Detail orientated, computer savvy, organized, good with time management, excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work overtime as needed, and collaborate effectively as a team member
- Knowledge of Cision/Vocus, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite is a plus
