At Airgas, we have the opportunity to join an exceptional team that delivers results and pays you for your hard work and dedication We are hiring an EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST who can benefit from a STABLE COMPANY, GREAT WORK SCHEDULE, COMPETITIVE PAY, and A GREAT TEAM ATMOSPHERE GENERAL SUMMARY: The Employee Experience Specialist performs a variety of duties within a designated highly populated Regional Market Center to enhance overall employee engagement and retention by actively engaging with the business to include both front line associates and managers to proactively identify and address daily work-related issues that may adversely affect morale and productivity.

This position will closely partner with front line employees and managers to provide urgent on-site support, proactive solutions, effective communication, and council regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, incentives, training and development needs.

This role will also serve as a local talent acquisition resource.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support and/or council for employees regarding work related and/or personal issues Explain company compensation, benefit programs such as medical, retirement, and other company, division and region incentive programs, etc.

Assist in the arrangement and coordination of on-site employee activities and events Partner with the Human Resources Learning Development team to identify, execute and track technical, management, and interpersonal skills training needed to improve overall employee and front line leadership relationships, skills, abilities, performance and overall engagement Attend meetings as employee/management liaison to facilitate communication between parties and to provide support and resolution recommendations Act as a subject matter expert by efficiently answering inquiries regarding HR and Company policies and procedures.

Work closely with HR Talent Acquisition Team and local hiring managers to coordinate candidate identification, interviews, local hiring events, recruiting activities and swift on-boarding.

Assist in conducting new hire orientation, benefit meetings and training sessions on processes and systems for new employees and field managers.

Prepare reports and communications to communicate employee relations trends and actions taken to Region and Division Management Assist HRD and/or VPHR with special projects, as needed and performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration or other related field 3-5 years of experience in a field-based Employee Relations role 1-2 years of experience in talent acquisition a plus Basic understanding of employment law, HR Generalist functionality and compliance Proficient experience in ADP Enterprise Version 5, ADP Reporting, Workday a plus Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Experience maintaining an electronic filing system KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Exhibit customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships, ability to influence others and strive to understand customer’s needs, both internal and external.

Exhibit excellent organizational, documentation and follow-up skills; and must have strong attention to detail.

Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.

The ability to work and navigate within a complex matrixed organization.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Communication skills that ensure a smooth flow of information between self and others through clear speaking and writing, encouragement of open expression of ideas, and effective listening.

Ability to adjust communication method based on either customer situation or the receiver of the communication (i.e.

executive management, field, internal team).

Strong organization skills with ability to independently adjust and manage multiple priorities with thoroughness and accuracy.
