Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) Navigator

1736 Family Crisis Center offers crisis intervention services, including four 24
– hour hotlines, as well as longer-term services in client advocacy and outpatient psychotherapy.

The residential counseling and support services include shelter programs for (1) runaway and homeless adolescents, (2) domestic violence and human trafficking victims and their children (emergency and transitional programs (3) Homeless prevention and rapid re-housing services for the general population and Veterans and their families.

Community outreach programs are provided to educate the public and prevent mental-health problems in the general population and in targeted groups to at-risk populations.

SUMMARY:

Family Source Program Contractors shall provide universal access or intensive services to poverty, very-low and low-income residents.

Universal access is defined as emergency or short-term services.

Such services may include information and referral, multi-benefit screening, access to a community resource room or emergency rental assistance through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) program.

The ERAP program provides a temporary rent subsidy for tenants who live in the City of Los Angeles and are unable to pay rent due to circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Contractor shall hire a minimum of two 100% FTE staff for the ERAP program.

The ERAS staff shall collect, verify, and determine eligibility for the ERAP program from a pre-qualified list of applicants and record their eligibility status in the ERAP system.

Responsibilities:
Handle client sensitive information and documents
Ability to work the shift of 8 am 5 pm, M-F
Upload and manage documents on the secure database
Write notes online
Meet with the tenants and landlords
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
Computer Skills (including Microsoft Programs)
