JOB SUMMARY: The Draftsperson will generate detailed architectural drawings, specifications and collateral material as directed by senior staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce Construction Documents utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD. Construction Documents include: Floor plans, Options, Sections, Elevations, Utility Plans and Details.
- Produce Marketing Material utilizing CAD. Work to include: Brochures and Web Files.
- Coordinate drawings with team members, redline/back-check work, pick-up redlines, plot drawings, etc.
- Respond to municipality corrections by means of drawings and response letters.
- Coordinate the assembly, packaging and/or shipping of architectural drawings, specifications, structural calculations, etc.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- High School Diploma or equivalent degree required.
- CAD certificate from accredited school or the ability to demonstrate basic CAD proficiency.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience drawing with CAD for a construction related field.
- Must be able to demonstrate basic residential construction knowledge.
- Sr. Draftsperson- over 10 years experience with a production homebuilder experience and serves as a trainer/source of knowledge for other Draftspersons.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must possess the knowledge of materials and methods, and construction techniques used in the construction or repair of residential buildings and/or other structures.
- Must be able to organize work, have the ability to listen well, take accurate notes and process directions. Then have the ability to take those elements and execute them per a schedule as directed by senior staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to work within a team-setting, inclusive of other’s ideas, and a willingness to cooperate.
- Proficiency in Autocad, Microsoft Office and Adobe.

- Work 8-hour days with flexibility for additional work hours when necessary.
