Physicians for Social Responsibility
– Los Angeles (PSR-LA) has experienced significant growth over the past two years and we are currently seeking a Development Associate who will work closely with the membership and development team to support growth of the annual budget and membership base.Responsibilities:The development associate will work closely with a collaborative team on the fundraising program, including database management, donor communications and administrative tasks.

This is an exciting opportunity to help support efforts to address the countrys most urgent environmental health and nuclear threat issues while transforming social and health justice systems.Qualifications/Skills:Commitment to public health and social, environmental and racial justiceFamiliarity with nonprofit organizations and the medical and public health communityFluency with donor databases, ideally EveryActionDemonstrated ability to write and edit clear, engaging, and grammatically correct contentDemonstrated oral communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to convey information in a clear, concise way, synthesizing information and presenting it to othersCreative thinking and proven systematic organizational skills to work independently without supervision, determine workload priorities to complete work in a timely manner, and identify and resolve problemsProven skill at working in a collective environment, including interpersonal skills to interact sensitively with Board of Directors, colleagues, doctors and community members from diverse social, cultural, and educational backgroundsEvent planning and project management skillsStrong interpersonal, written communication, and public speaking skillsDemonstrated leadership and coordination skills, ability to work as part of a close-knit teamHighly motivated, self-directed individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize among multiple projects and plansBachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experienceEmployment Status: Full-Time Exempt SalariedLocation: Position is based in Los Angeles, CA.

We are temporarily working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, qualified applicants should reside in the Metro Los Angeles region and be able to work in a Los Angeles-based office when social distancing restrictions are lifted.Compensation: Salary ranging from $45,000
– $50,000 based on experience.
