About See You Monday:
See You Monday is an established woman-owned womenswear brand that specializes in affordable, high-quality garments for women from all walks of life. We are continuing our 20 year legacy and growing in all of our categories expanding into new and exciting markets.
We are looking to welcome a driven Design and Merchandising Assistant to support our development process.
- Conduct consistent market and trend research, creating forecasts for merchandising.
- Attend regular meetings with the sales representative/ lead designer.
- Working with the lead designer and pattern-maker to execute new design samples.
- Provide flat sketches for design requests from buyers and the lead designer.
- Streamline and support the design process from initial conception to final production.
- Submit requests for samples from third-party vendors along with follow-ups and coordination of delivery. This includes samples such as fabric yards and services such as fabric sublimation, screen-printing, embroidery, and custom labels/packaging.
- Provide organizational support and documentation of design sheets and samples.
- Provide communication support by serving as a liaison between our team and our retail partners.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum one year of experience in the apparel industry
- Knowledgable and up-to-date on the latest trends in women?s apparel
- Knowledge of fabrics and garment construction
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Proficient in sketching and technical drawing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and G Suite/Google Workspace
- Adept verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to various design sensibilities
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced industry
Big Pluses:
- AA, BA, or BFA in Fashion, or related field
- Bilingual in English and Korean
- Knowledgable in the production of garments and other soft goods
