RTX: Sr Systems Engineer I

Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is the provider of advanced electrical scanned antenna (AESA) radar sensor systems for multiple platforms including: the U.S.

Navys F/A-18 Aircraft, the Air Forces F/A-15 Aircraft, and the Gen 5.X Family of Systems (FOS) Radars for multiple platforms.

These AESA Radar Systems provide the war fighter with the most accurate and timely information available for the network-centric battlefield.

The Secured Sensor Solutions Mission Area within the Systems Engineering Center is seeking committed engineering leaders who are passionate about creating innovative and cost-effective solutions for the warfighter.

The Future Aircraft Systems and Technology Department within SEIT supports the development of new capabilities for existing radar systems as well as development of Next-Generation Radar Systems for the US Government.

This department provides the full range of systems design, analysis, integration, verification, and validation activities in support of SAS radar programs.

These activities include: Interface with technical and program team leads to review and update test plans, test procedures, flight-test planning and execution.

Support system-level integration and testing, including performance, functional, interface, environmental, and qualification testing.

Support technical leads with the development of system-level test equipment for system I& T, verification, and sell-off.

Support technical peer reviews throughout the product lifecycle of design, development, integration and test, and flight test requirements verification.

Support customer and/or program technical review presentations by providing verification and validation artifacts.

Participate in IPT meetings, reviews, TIMs, and studies.

Responsibilities include: Collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary team of systems, software, and hardware engineers in support of integration and test activities.

Interface with technical and program team leads on a regular basis in a dynamic environment Routinely present technical findings and progress to the customer, collaborating organizations, and groups internal to RI& S Engage in a team culture of continuous learning and technological advancement Have a deep desire to positively impact and improve our technology for our customers Be motivated to produce high quality products to the best of their ability in order to maintain and advance RI& Ss status as a leader inthe RF domain Required Skills: Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems engineering integration, testing, verification, and validation activities Basic knowledge of AESA-based radar systems operation, functionality, testing, verification, system qualification and sell off Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication capability, and ability to work in an integrated product team environment Demonstrated problem solving, organization, coordination, and planning skills Excellent interpersonal communication and technical writing skills to enable effective personal interaction and collaboration with a multi-discipline team Advocate for the application of systems engineering across the entire product life cycle Must have an existing Active Secret and have ability to readily obtain Special Access security clearances U.S.

Security Clearance as of day one of employment Desired Skills: Experience in Airborne Radar systems and their principles of design, development, requirements verification, I & T, Operation, Flight Test Able to effectively multi-task and prioritize actions with limited supervision Work experience in radar design, development, integration and test Experience in hardware and software integration of embedded, real-time complex systems Experience in radar data analysis and problem resolution Experience working on a technical team of Systems Engineers and Analysts Required Education: BS Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, System Engineering or related discipline.

Desired Education: MS Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, System Engineering or related discipline.
