Credit Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

Monitor and maintain the standard loan portfolio processes, procedures, and practices in the assigned team, which include credit risk, transaction risk, and compliance risk.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Portfolio Management (100%)

Monitor and maintain the overall loan portfolio processes, procedures, and practice to support Team Leader.
Work with Team Leader on specific projects including portfolio reviews, updating of credit processes within the portfolio, risk rating policy, etc.
Independently analyze and evaluate the risks in the segment, conduct the risk selection, oversee the risk of individual loans, control the quality of loan approvals, and administer the performance of loan continues.
Review loan packages and analyze credit information, making the detailed assessment of an applicants’ creditworthiness.
Measure credit risks, portfolio stress tests, and analyze collaterals as applicable to loan structure and terms.
Analyze financial conditions and operating results of applicants to ensure adequate line limits and usage.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

Master or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business-related field is preferred.
Ability to analyze, underwrite, and administer C&I loan portfolios.
Strong credit and financial analyzing, underwriting, sales, customer service, and communication skills.
Ability to apply computer software programs in evaluating financial information and maintaining loan information.
Formal credit training and CFA or related certification is preferred.
Japanese / Mandarin / Taiwanese Languages is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less.

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:

Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $60,000.00/Yr. – USD $65,000.00/Yr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
