Content Specialist (Contract to Hire)

At this stage in our growth, we are looking for a rock star Content Specialist role to join our marketing team.

Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, the candidate will be developing crisp, engaging content to support Aeris’ unique value proposition and key messages for both internal and external marketing campaigns and will be responsible for ensuring content is communicated internally and updated regularly on Aeris’ internal websites and tools.

The ideal candidate must be self-directed, a tenacious problem-solver, collaborate well with colleagues, take initiative, and manage numerous projects simultaneously.

In this role, attention to detail is critical.

We are looking for someone with critical thinking skills who has an investigative, creative mind-set that can dive into the details to get things done quickly with a “can do” attitude.

Note, this is a contract to hire role.

Key responsibilities include: Work directly with the Head of Product Marketing and Vice President of Communications to plan and execute internal and external content inclusive of shortform and longform and internal/external communications Write and/or support the development of digital and/or print marketing materials including e-blasts, landing pages, microsites, e-books, blogs, case studies, data sheets, whitepapers, webinars, web ads, social content, reports, infographics, newsletters, video scripts and any other content as needed, with support from our in-house graphics team Support key strategic external campaign content with development of internal content to ensure messaging is communicated, understood and reinforced in Aeris’ internal communications channels Develop internal content and manage dissemination of content and communications through sanctioned internal digital channels such as HighSpot, SharePoint, email, etc.

Recommend appropriate content formats and topics for our external lead channels, and buyer types and internal commercial audiences Stay abreast of product development, feature launches, industry trends and company news to generate relevant content as needed Track analytics and ROI on internal and external tools when requested and make necessary recommendations for improvement Knowledge of SEO best practices and adherence to brand voice, style and tone are required to maintain editorial integrity Integrate content with campaigns to feed demand generation engine, and support our marketing automation and lead nurturing program with channel-relevant content.

Work hand-in-hand with product marketing and communications to translate key value propositions/messaging into compelling and easy-to-understand content Maintain editorial calendars and project management tasks to develop and manage workflows to meet editorial and campaign deadlines Contribute content ideas and pitch content that supports the overall Aeris content marketing strategy Work across departments and geographies, harvesting internal and market expertise and turning it into compelling, relevant and differentiated content for Aeris What You’ll Need to Succeed: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field 3-5 years of professional experience with the proven ability to create and market business-to-business content in a B2B technology environment Cellular IoT, MNVO or general networking experience is highly desirable The ability to work in either the Chicago or San Jose, CA Aeris office twice a week Excellent writing and editing skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently and work independently in a fast-paced environment Detailed by nature, and strong project management and organizational skills Passionate about learning about technology and the IoT and networking space A creative yet technical mindset A general understanding of SEO and the tie back to content development Aeris walks the walk on diversity.
