Aadi Bioscience: Paralegal Corporate Contracts

The Corporate Contracts Paralegal works with cross-functional team members across the Company to draft, review, negotiate, execute, and file legal documentation and contracts (such as MSAs, CDA/NDAs, SOWs, Change Orders).

They lead the preparation and coordination of procedural documentation for general legal matters, including but not limited to securities compliance, employment law, regulatory matters, and contract management.

In addition, the Corporate Contracts paralegal will assist with determining the necessity and approach to contracts, ensuring the protection of the Company’s proprietary technology.

Their day-to-day duties will include collaborating with contracted external lawyers assisting with contract review and tracking, and paying legal fees.PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONSDraft, review, negotiate and file a high volume of contractsCommunicate with internal business partners regarding the risks presented by contract terms and possible strategies to mitigate such riskSupport administration of the Company’s contract management system (CMS).Assist in determining the necessary approach to contracts and ensuring the protection of the Company’s proprietary technologyUse a wide range of legal or specialized knowledge to provide legal support services in an efficient and timely mannerExercise good judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsUse initiative and discretion in accomplishing routine assignments with minimal supervision.Research legal issues and engage in fact gathering and checking to provide support on all assigned legal mattersOther job duties as assignedBS/BA degreeParalegal Certificate5+ years of legal department experience in the biotech/pharma, life sciences industry, or master’s degree with 6+ years of Law firm experience reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting legal contracts and documentsMust have the ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents and to effectively present information to business partners and managementMust be able to exercise independent judgment regarding legal and contractual matters within broadly defined practices and policiesMust have expertise with legal contracts and documents.Demonstrated ability to work with senior-level law professionalsRequires a general understanding of a broad range of corporate in-house legal mattersMust have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including document sharing and database programsStrong communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.Must be a good collaborator and patient working with a wide range of individualsAble to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiencyAble to manage up to get contracts signed in a timely fashionMust have excellent attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills requiredDemonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to work with others, be self-motivated, require limited supervision and a desire to learnOTHER REQUIREMENTSThis role can be a work-from-home position with travel to Los Angeles as needed, or performed at Company’s location in Pacific Palisades, CAPrimary business hours are Pacific Standard Time#LI-Remote
