Job Details: COMMUNITY RELATIONS SPECIALIST II
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This position will be responsible for planning, organizing and executing community investment and involvement programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating designated Community Relation and corporate responsibility programs (e.g., grant management, special events, employee giving program, and employee volunteer program) to enhance impact of Bank and colleague contributions’ and reputation to the community, enhancing and expanding internal banking and community partner relationships, and recommending program policies and standards.

Specific activities may include database management, special events, receptions, seminars, dinners, business meetings and premium programs that have moderate to significant bank and/or client impact and exposure

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Evaluates and develops community partnerships and involvement opportunities for the Bank.

Maximizes benefit and exposure for the Bank for community investments, including charitable and corporate contributions.

Tracks and monitors success factors associated with community investments through the charitable and affiliations database, including input and reporting capabilities of database, benefits fulfillment and compliance with Company policies regarding community investments.

Plans, organizes and executes community involvement programs and events throughout the Bank, including annual workplace giving campaign, promoting volunteerism at all levels of the organization, board involvement, volunteer recognition program and maintaining volunteer database.

Enhances and expands awareness and participation in internal community programs (e.g., the annual workplace giving campaign, Reading is The way up, Dollars + Sense Financial Literacy Program, Dollars for Doers and Lunch & Learn).

Tracks and monitors success factors associated with community involvement through the grant-making and volunteer databases.

Manages reporting capabilities of databases.

Maintains a proactive commitment to established bank programs, such as Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Affirmative Action.

Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g.

Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).

Completes all special projects as requested.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
Minimum 3 years experience conducting community investment and involvement programs
Minimum 3 years of relevant marketing, events and communication experience
Minimum of 3 years experience with leadership or project management
Minimum of 1 year experience developing and monitoring metrics, budgets and reports
Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of the principles and strategies of corporate giving and social impact programs
Experience with grants management and/or volunteer management software, including data entry, data management, tracking, measuring and reporting
Experience partnering with Brand and Communications teams to develop stakeholder engagement approach to community initiatives
Familiarity with YourCause, VolunteerMatch, Blackbaud Grantmaking or Workfront a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead others through influence and collaboration
Strong creative and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines
Organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
Strong problem solver with a collaborative attitude
