Collections Specialist

1 Search Group is currently recruiting for a Collections Specialist to support one of our healthcare clients located near the Coral Gables area.

The Collections Specialist will play an integral role in maintaining a strong cash flow for the company by actively and effectively following up and collecting on customer accounts.

The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of collections with experience in the healthcare industry Manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices Generate customer invoices and mail, email or fax them to the appropriate point of contact Follow up on payment status.

Provide customer service and resolution on any invoice issues Receive, post and reconcile customer payments in accordance with company policy Perform regular collections calls and correspondence to ensure customer accounts are paid and current Escalate any collections issues to management in an effort to resolve any issues Manage the AR aging report Generate Ad Hoc reports as needed by the Collections Manager Qualifications 1 to 2 years in a collections capacity within the healthcare sector Strong customer service skills with a focus in collections Ability to multi-task and anticipate needs of the customer Ability to handle deadlines and time sensitive information Basic Excel knowledge of spreadsheets and data entry
