Responsibilities: High Level Advisor/Lead: 5+ months (with the possibility to extend longer).
Will handle escalations for the most complex resident reimbursement requests on the Aliso Canyon Project.
Responsibilities will include a mix of claims and community relations, requiring interaction with residents that are in temporary housing and internal Director’s and VP’s.
Incumbents may oversee a small team of claims analysts and/or community liaisons.
Communicate to residents about claims status.
Tactfully provide reasons to residents about claims denials and status; Research and evaluate complex data in MS Excel spreadsheets, SharePoint folders and internal company data bases; Handle claims escalations and oversee steps to investigate and analyze reimbursement claims based on policies and prepare and submit them for reimbursement; Create new correspondence memos that will be sent to residents; will perform gap analysis: help identify the most complex reimbursement claims that might be missing data, communicate with other stakeholders to help gather missing data; and Might be assigned to project lead other areas of Aliso Canyon Project, such as Community Resource Center, Relocation team or/and Air Purification team.
Responsible for the development and on-going administration.
Provides technical, analytical and consulting services in the formulation and implementation of increased / improved controls, policies and procedures based on appropriately supported findings.
Develops and executes and systematically ensures adherence to policies, plans, procedures, critical business controls, laws, regulations, safeguarding of assets and the integrity of financial information.
Effectively document the results.
Assesses risks and recommends mitigation strategies through the evaluation of the business environment and an increase in business controls.
Represents departmental and Company interests by serving as liaison internal and external audit entities.
Assists with staff development related to compliance.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be, have emotional Intelligence, and be sensitive to complex requests.
Must be analytical, have excellent writing skills, and a strong attention to detail with the ability to write policies and quickly compose professional letters.
Previous project management and/or supervisory experience in an insurance, accounting (e.g.
accounts payable) or claims experience; Three to seven years preferred; Solid research and data analysis and the ability to find missing information and help residents correct incorrect information; Strong and clear verbal communication skills.
Select candidates need to display diplomacy and a sense of urgency when speaking to residents; Ability to interpret and apply policies; Ability to collaborate with company management and team members; Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills; Solid Excel and Sharepoint skills; Exceptional writing skills; and SAP experience is desired.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or business administration.
Advanced degrees and professional certifications desirable.
Requires strong analytical ability.
Must have the ability to develop to discuss findings in a satisfactory manner with the client and to write a quality reporting and correspondence.
Must possess excellent knowledge of financial, operational and management practices and auditing techniques.
Requires the ability to exercise good audit judgment.
Must work efficiently and effectively on multiple projects.
Good problem-solving skills and analytical ability required.
Ability to be tactful and diplomatic in presenting audit findings and recommendations to management and in negotiating solutions or corrective action.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be proficiency in the use of PC based applications, primarily Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
A valid California driver’s license is required.
