Our client, Metrolink, is the 3rd largest commuter rail in the US, located in Los Angeles, CA.

We are supporting their search for an enthusiastic and dedicated Chief Technology Officer to act as both technical and business expert to positively impact current and future operations.

A strong communicator and expert in your field, you will provide leadership and development for a team of 19, whilst working with the executive leadership team to develop new technology for a commuter service that goes above and beyond to provide a safe and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities: The Chief Technology Officer oversees the development, implementation, and execution of strategic plans in collaboration with executive leadership teams and acts as advisor for all technologies involved with the agency.

Lead the operations and functions of the agencys IT departments, whilst maintaining a customer-focused strategy by engaging with customers and agency managers.

Monitor the development of state and federal initiatives for funding sources to define and develop grant programs.

Monitor KPIs and technology budgets to assess technological performance; ensuring technological processes and services comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations: make recommendations that align to business goals.

Experience required for the Chief Technology Officer: Bachelors degree in IT, computer science, or related field.

Demonstrable experience in software development, information technology, or related field.

Experience in a senior leadership position (CTO, Head of Development or VP Engineering) within software engineering.

A valid class C Drivers License with a satisfactory driving record of no more than three moving violations and no DUIs within the last three years.

Knowledge and experience of Positive Train Control (PTC) technology Location: Based from central LA, the role will offer the opportunity for a hybrid working pattern.

Compensation for the Chief Technology Officer
– includes a basic between $165,000 and $255,000 plus a full extended benefits package that includes healthcare (medical, dental, vision), FSA, life insurance and Retirement Plan.
