Chief Operative Officer

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to take overall accountability for Company’ operational delivery. This includes primarily supply chain operations, lab operations and regulatory affairs. Our COO will be a proven leader and will be accountable for rapidly scaling these up in the UK, as well as setting them up and scaling them in the US and other geographies as required. These operations will be in compliance with the relevant regulatory bodies including the MHRA, European Commission and FDA.

Our COO will write the playbook for our operational delivery and KPIs and will manage a high performing team to deliver against these. They will develop the operations budget and define staff projections to support growth.They will lead and support the operations team in problem solving bottlenecks, issues and changes, and drive initiatives cross-functionally to build our business operations including legal, people and customer.

As our COO, you will

  • • own operational delivery, primarily supply chain operations, lab operations and regulatory affairs
  • • work with our supply chain ops manager to scale supply chain and lab operations in the UK
  • • work with our supply chain ops manager to set up of supply chain and lab operations internationally, starting with the US
  • • set up operational KPIs, managing a high performing team to deliver against these, and supporting the team to problem solve bottlenecks, issues and changes
  • • develop operations budget and defining staff projections to support growth
  • • ensure legal and regulatory compliance (MHRA, CE, FDA) on all products across all international geographies
  • • develop Company’ operational delivery model as it evolves and grows through Series A
  • • drive continuous improvement to enable cost and service improvements
  • • drive other cross-functional business operations initiatives as required by the business in other areas, i.e legal, people, customer operations etc.

What we need from you:

  • • leadership experience running high-growth operations in a start-up environment
  • • experience leading complex operational and strategic cross-functional initiatives
  • • great people management skills with a track record of managing and developing high performing teamsKPI led and data-driven in decision making and driving continuous improvement
  • • exceptional communication, prioritization, and time management skills
  • • self-starter with a sleeves rolled up attitude
  • • adaptable and flexible mindset, feeling comfortable being thrown into a largely ambiguous environment
