Company is seeking a highly talented and versatile Chief of Staff to join our team. As the Chief of Staff, you will report directly to the CEO and ensure advancement on key strategic initiatives and priorities. This individual will serve as a liaison with our content, direct-to-consumer businesses and brands and advance long-lead business development opportunities. Additionally, the Chief of Staff will help optimize the effectiveness of the CEO and assist with Board communications.

Responsibilities

Direct Support of the CEO

  • Maximize effectiveness of CEO by synthesizing information and data in a way that helps drive timely and effective decision-making, communicating effectively, participating in relevant meetings, and facilitating communications internally and externally
  • Move a range key CEO growth, business development and organizational initiatives forward; conduct research, prepare slide summaries/materials, join CEO in key meetings and action key items coming from those meetings internally and externally
  • Amplify the efforts of the CEO by attending meetings, staying apprised of updates across the teams to ensure the CEO has all pertinent information to perform her role.
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, handling founder, investor and employee information with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.

Strategic Project Management

  • Advance specific company initiatives and long lead business development projects that the CEO is focused on (and as updated on a quarterly basis) with specific focus on Community and Commerce Businesses including New and Talent Led Ventures
  • For key CEO priorities work across organization with various stakeholders to facilitate and action: defining requirements, gathering information, preparing plans and taking specific actions to move them forward. Examples may include measuring and communicating impact for delivering on Company’s mission, creating and keeping current key documents up to date (i.e., PR roadmap)
  • Directly advance specific mission aligned initiatives and special projects partnering with relevant operating team members as required (i.e., RBC/Lit Up)
  • Advance business planning and operationalizing of New and Talent-led ventures and other strategic growth initiatives that we decide to advance in partnership with COO and FinOps team, preparing handoff for operational execution.
  • Support of our Direct-to Consumer businesses as they continue to scale on specific project and organizational initiatives as required
  • Partner with FinOps teams assisting on corporate and business development efforts on evaluation of strategic fit of inorganic growth opportunities or other business opportunities that come to us

Investor Relations

  • Support the CEO in board management/relations i.e., drafting specific communications or responding to questions, as directed by the CEO
  • Support the CEO, COO and Finance & Accounting teams on quarterly board meeting preparation, long range planning and other investor communications

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in business development, strategy, consulting or other business strategy roles at either high-growth entertainment, media, or early-stage companies.
  • MBA, and/or experience in management consulting preferred
  • Ability to create effective relationships, influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels ‘
  • Strong sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Coach, collaborate and support the needs of the business in your capacity as COS
  • Creative thinker, track record of involvement in growth-oriented businesses
  • Self-starter, bias towards action
