Chief CT Technologist

Overview: The Chief CT Technologist is responsible for ensuring that the delivery of the high standards of patient care mandated by the organization are met in the provision of services and in the interaction with patients, families, physicians, and other personnel.

Responsibilities: In addition to the duties and responsibilities of a CT Technologist, the position adds responsibilities in quality assurance and clinic liaison.

The technologist must recognize that these three functions are frequently intertwined:Perform high quality diagnostic imaging services in a timely professional, confidential, personally attentive manner.Ensures all required supplies are on hand to avoid disruption of service.Promptly investigates and reports for correction any service malfunction to ensure minimal downtime.

Maintains detailed accurate records of service calls by company.Maintains high level of visibility and interaction with center personnel, radiologists, and support personnel.Maintains good customer relations with referring physicians and handles all calls/conversations with these physicians.Works with the Clinical leadership and Radiologists to ensure protocols are current and quality services are being provided.

Consults with Radiologist regarding situation requiring physician intervention.Provides thorough clinical instruction of new technologists and students as required.Ensures patient screen information is accurate, identifies and investigates area of concern to preclude patient incidents.Ensuring that all technologists have current licenses.Work closely with lead front office to ensure proper scheduling of exams and workflow is maintained.Comply with clinical accreditation requirements and submission deadlines.Assist with clinical accreditation applications and inspections.Performs other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Current ARRT (R) (CT)State license, where requiredKnowledge of cross-sectional anatomyAt least one-year experience in primary modalityI.V.

Other Skills and AbilitiesFamiliarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, HIS/RIS and PACS
