Chemical Operator Job

We’re looking for Chemical Operators at our Piedmont, SC site.

– Fri from 7 am
– 3 pm or 8 am
– 4 pm) 6:45 am
– 7 pm for two weeks then 6:45 pm
– 7 am (shift rotates every two weeks) JOB DIMENSIONS: This position performs all tasks associated with the production of products from material staging, operation of equipment, in-process testing, and packaging.

This position utilizes both manual and automated systems along with analytical results to monitor and adjust the process as needed to produce a consistent specification product.

Perform raw material staging for batches.

Operate operations vessels in the plant including blenders and computers.

Use automated and manual process controls to adjust process parameters.

Package finished product in drums and IBCs.

Complete batch sheets, logbooks, and other records neatly and accurately.

Sample batches and perform in-process Quality Control testing.

Perform other duties or training as required or requested.

Demonstrates mechanical aptitude by performing minor maintenance.

Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment and process issues.

Housekeeping duties Complete required safety training.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT: Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.

Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Bostik (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.).

Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident, or injury incidents.

Ensure all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated, and corrective actions are implemented.

Observe safe work practices in always performing all duties and maintaining standards of excellence in housekeeping.

Ability to respond to emergency situations within the limits of training and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

3 years of chemical environment experience.

Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, or other hours as required.

Experience in forklift operation.

Ability to perform physical essentials (climb stairs and/or ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, wear FRC uniforms, wear full-face respirator occasionally).
