Working as a Chemical Applications Engineer, you will be the you will be the technical lead and design authority for various process gas chromatograph engineering projects in the Analytical & Force Measurement, Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (PAMA) in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals.
Reporting to the Manager, Gas Chromatograph (GC) Project Engineering, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.
Your responsibilities Assisting project managers and proposal specialists in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners and vendors Define and setup Process Gas Chromatograph applications and verify separations when testing columns/applications Utilize standard processes and tools applicable to the Analytical Engineering group Understand and mix chemical blends for lab testing Gathering information about ABB products and technologies and developing an understanding of technical drivers and customer value Participating in working teams and aiding co workers, as well as consulting team members and colleagues to gain information and knowledge Helping customers resolve technical issues Working and networking with engineering colleagues, disseminating best practices Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project Your background A Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar field required.
Minimum 0 to 2 years of experience in chemistry processes involved with gas processing or lab analysis preferred.
