Quick Facts:

The Business intelligence Analyst position supports Eisner Health in the management of the organization’s data and analytics needs, including report development, automation, data visualization, and analytic support. This role will utilize a variety of tools and skills to break down complex problems into smaller components and use data to transform insights into action. This role reports to the Director of Information Systems.

Essential Duties:

The key duties and responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, build, test, document, and maintain standard and customized reports, dashboards, and data sets to meet the organization’s business needs within required deadlines
  • Utilize SQL-based reporting and data visualization software platforms, and additional coding programs as needed, to generate and analyze data
  • Gather and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to inform the design of reports
  • Serve as the technical liaison and ambassador of the organization’s data strategy to internal and external partners
  • Provide staff mentorship to promote data stewardship, data visibility, and data-informed decision making across all levels of the organization
  • Conduct periodic data validation audits to ensure data is accurate and complete
  • Lead and/or support of moderately complex projects which may include planning, process mapping, software design and configuration, testing and validation, training development, and site-by-site implementation
  • Lead and/or support collaborative improvement efforts, including recommending modifications to the EHR and end-user workflows to ensure accurate and timely collection of necessary data
  • Create and maintain technical support documentation
  • Maintain up to date knowledge/training in all applications supported within the department
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Healthcare, or related field and/or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience supporting data management in the healthcare setting required
  • Demonstrated high technical proficiency with SQL DBA required, including: Developing database objects, tables, views / Experience using SQL for report development initiatives / Proficiency writing complex SLQL reports strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with other programming/scripting languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, or VBA preferred
  • Experience or working knowledge of NextGen Practice Management and Electronic Health Records systems preferred
  • Experience supporting Community Health Center (CHC) or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) organizations and reporting needs (such as HRSA UDS reporting, Meaningful Use, NCQA, PCMH, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with creating written technical and end-user support documentation preferred
