We would like to talk with a performance engineer / analyst who wants to apply their performance characterization and modeling experience over to Server product analysis and projections.

A software development background/interest will be useful as well.Key Responsibilities Perform silicon characterization of existing products simulations, workload analysis on AMD and non-AMD silicon Configure, run, debug, and analyze internal performance/power models Maintain fast/flexible projections framework Generate roadmap reports, proposals, and presentations Preferred Experience Strong performance analysis track record including experience with spreadsheet models or analysis tools Software engineering abilities (scripting, object-oriented programming, collaborative software development) Performance architecture background (performance modeling, workload analysis, or hardware/software optimization) Minimum of BS 5 years or MS 3 years or PhD 1 year plus proficiency in principles and methods of software and data analysis relevant to performance optimization and performance modeling Academic Credentials Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree Masters with emphasis on Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred Location: Santa Clara, CA San Francisco Bay Area Austin, TX Greater Austin Metro Area Other locations in the US will be considered Requisition Number: 116444Country: United States State: Texas City: AustinJob Function: Design AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies or fee based recruitment services.
