The Maximo Business Analyst will provide leadership and support in delivering technology and information solutions that enhance productivity, lower costs, and improve information delivery for Amgen global maintenance operations.

By identifying improvement opportunities in Maximo systems and focusing on developing solutions the company expects to maximize value from existing technology investments.

This person will work closely with operations staff, corporate leadership, and the IT department to define and implement effective business process enhancements and technology solutions.

Responsibilities: The BA will lead global network MUG (Maximo Users Group) and coordinate related network activities Be a lead resource in business process and system development for (CMMS/Maximo) The BA will serve as corporate business owner for Amgens maintenance program and related SOPs and supporting documentation Drives Maximo Community of Practice across network, shares knowledge of issues regarding enhancements and data impacting Amgen business and works with IT support to resolve All responsibilities assume a full working knowledge of Maximo Enterprise Asset Management Software and related business process (Maintenance and Calibration) Management of User Acceptance Testing Document and define business functions, technical and process specifications, and reporting requirements Provide continuous system improvement by monitoring and evaluating current practices and then designing and implementing enhancements that lower costs and extract the most value from existing technology and systems.

Developing system usage and data standards that enable common processes, reports, and skill development Researching and evaluating new or upgraded technology solutions Encouraging innovation, identifying opportunities, and sharing best practices to improve productivity and data quality Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end-users, and unit leaders Ensuring CMMS systems are used in an efficient and consistent manner through user support, documentation, and training Develops reports and analytics to provide insight into the health of Amgens maintenance program Assembles data for Maintenance Reporting activities and publishes in local and corporate repositories.

Liaise with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues Collaborate with others SMEs in the company to identify the best paths forward when resolving issues Provide secondary support for other maintenance and reliability information systems as needed The Maximo Business Analyst is responsible for meeting with the client to determine requirements and documenting the requirements according to Amgen needs During Maximo upgrades serves as a liaison between IS, users, site technical admin, and external technical support The Business Analyst is responsible for developing Functional Specification documents according to Amgen standards/requirements The Business Analyst is responsible for performing initial System Testing as per the Functional Specifications When required by the project, the Business Analyst is responsible for developing Test Scripts for use in User Acceptance Testing The BA is responsible for recording all issues in the proper Amgen tools, identifying the criticality of each issue, and tracking each issue through to resolution When required by the project, the Business Analyst is responsible for developing end-user training materials in accordance with Amgen procedures Win What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate Degree and 2 years of experience OR Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience OR Associate’s Degree and 10 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience Preferred Qualifications: Certificate, Diploma or Degree in engineering, business, information technology, or computer science from a recognized public or private program and/or 3 years of relevant experience Specialization in one or more of the following technologies: relational databases & tools, SharePoint / Office 365, Tableu, Brio, Cognos and/or other reporting platforms.

Exposure to the following software is considered a benefit: Maximo, Other EAM / CMMS / maintenance software, OSIsoft Pi or other data historians, IIoT, Machine Learning, data warehousing.
