CoStar is seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing analytics organization.
The Business Analyst will provide ongoing support in the development, implementation, maintenance, documentation, and quality assurance of quantitative products.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in data analytics with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy to undertake the responsibilities outlined below and will be eager to join a best-in-class team that performs an integral function within the CoStar Group.
The position can sit in any major US city.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Create requirements documentation and diagrams to assist in the support, development, and analysis of quantitative models, data series, estimations, and processes

Communicate with needed personnel and/or teams to access the necessary information for review, analysis, and reporting requirements

Collaborate with technical team and IT resources on product deliverables and implementation

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with IT to ensure timely, consistent, and error-free implementation

Perform quality assurance functions and error debugging throughout our models, data series, implementation, and related processes

Contribute to the development of new methods and processes
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Advanced degree in economics, information systems, statistics, computer science, or related field

Three of more years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or related position in a research-oriented environment and/or in professional services such as in commercial real estate, banking, or investment management

Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, documentation and communication

Aptitude for technology and the ability to communicate between the technical team and business teams

Excellent communication skills

Experience in product life-cycle management

Hands-on experience with SQL, writing queries and procedures, and experience with SQL Server Management Studio

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Stata, SAS, Microsoft BI or other business intelligence and analysis software

Accuracy and attention to detail
