Business Analyst (Los Angeles, Vancouver BC, or Remote)
The role of Business Analyst is a critically important part of ZEHNER’s project delivery team. Acting as the key interface between the client, ZEHNER project manager and engineering team, the Business Analyst defines, evaluates and documents requirements and process to drive data-driven decision-making for our delivery solutions. To succeed in this role, you should have an analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. As ZEHNER is a digital agency with expertise in ecommerce technology solutions, this role requires strong technical skills, and ideal candidates will need to be curious and up to date on the latest trends in ecommerce technology to collaboratively develop the best solutions with their project leads.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and identifying and implementing solutions.
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest process and ecommerce technology advancements
- Performing requirements analysis.
- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts by conducting meetings and presenting insights and findings with internal and client stakeholders.
- Collaborating and communicating effectively with different constituent audiences, including clients and internal cross-functional team of project managers, designers, and technologists.
- Providing leadership, advocacy and stakeholder education for the discipline of business analysis.
- Practicing sound judgment and practice in time management, prioritization of initiatives, resource allocation and maintaining cost efficiency.
- Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
- Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures and protocols.
- Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
- Supporting deliverables and the timely completion of projects.
- Influencing stakeholders and working closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis in an agency and ecommerce environment.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce ecosystems and the ways in which platforms integrate with external systems and 3rd party tools.
- An understanding of common KPI’s relevant to ecommerce and online businesses and a clear track record of driving success with clients.
- Ability to juggle multiple clients and tracks of work at once.
- Comfortable and familiar with speed and volume of agency work.
- Advanced technical skills.
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Fluency in project software applications and platforms.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Track record of leading and supporting successful projects.
