Bookkeeper AR/AP for Multiple Residential Income Properties of 100+ units

Pacific Heritage Communities is looking for a full charge bookkeeper for multiple income properties, including new development of properties.

The candidate should be highly detail oriented, organized, and experienced in full-service property management AR/AP.

Must work well under pressure and be flexible with day to day changes.

Job Summary: Real estate development and management company located in Westwood in West Los Angeles, California is looking for an experienced full charge accounts receivable/accounts payable person to manage and maintain day-to-day financial records for numerous income properties including 100+ unit multifamily and commercial.

We are seeking an individual with excellent organizational skills who can multi-task while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.

Commitment to quality work is required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Preparation and billing of tenants’ monthly rent and monthly, quarterly and annual common area maintenance and real estate taxes along with other various annual charges.

· Reviewing, entering and maintaining information on Entrata, Yardi and Timberline Property Management systems, or similar, and ensuring data is up-to-date and correct

· Deposit/apply tenants account receivable payments, billing adjustments.

Maintain tenant security deposit accounts

· Responsible for posting any move-out charges and sending out final account statements

· Follow up on delinquencies and collections for former residents and collect bad debts

· Timely complete all bank reconciliations

· Reviewing invoices, GL coding and process accounts payable for property expenses and management office expenses

· Vendor billings and invoice payments

· Providing various related management and financial reports

· Assisting in inter-company transactions and bank reconciliations

· Job costing, AIA and contractor requisitions, reporting, special projects as assigned

· Reviewing and processing General Contractor monthly billings

· Prepare and process bank construction loan draws and mortgage debt service

· Generate payroll, payroll tax, returns and maintain personnel records

· Assist outside accountants in annual JE adjustment, audit process and year-end closing

Qualifications and Skills:

· Seven (7) years bookkeeping experience in residential and commercial property management

· Entrata and Timberline Property Management/Accounting systems experience preferable

· Experience using property management accounting software required

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word required

· Bachelor’s degree required (accounting or business administration preferred)

· Must have strong organizational skills and strong communication skills
– both oral and written

· Must be very detail oriented, motivated, self starter, and career minded

· Must be adept at problem solving, communicating, working efficiently, and constructively work in a small team environment

· Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
