Find your future with us.Boeing is seeking a Space Systems Verification and Test Capability Chief Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, California.

This role will create Special Test Equipment (STE) and System Test engineering products.

Within our organization, the Chief Engineer role facilitates and drives engineering discipline to ensure all of our engineering teams continue to create amazing products and deliver those quality products on time.To ensure first time quality and test readiness, this senior leader will be responsible for the leadership of our Senior Engineering Technical Council (SETC) activities, for our teams design practice creation, for STE architectures and for non-advocate reviews of test system developments via engagement at STE hardware tabletop and software code reviews.

This individual possesses extensive engineering knowledge and experience with Satellite test using RF/digital/analog test equipment and is able to architect and/or design complex RF communications test systems to meet test requirements.

This individual will join an engineering organization challenging the status quo of Test/STE Architecture, Engineering and Design and drive the Model Based Engineering culture and operations outlook by leveraging 2nd Century Enterprise Systems, including Model Based System Engineering, Model Based Design and Model Based Definition.

Position Responsibilities:Drive engineering excellence, defined first time quality as test readiness and execution, into the Test Equipment architecture, engineering and design product and services supporting all space systems test equipment design, verification and test activities in El Segundo, CA.Possess working knowledge of System Verification, Validation and Requirements decomposition.Drive roadmaps for test / STE products and servicesFacilitate the ongoing Model Based Engineering culture and work environment shift Facilitate team development and knowledge transfer via design review and tabletop participation, coaching, SETC engagement and design practice creation Work with BT& E management and other leaders to integrate departmental plans, policies and procedures and provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives, processesIdentify areas of improvement internal, provide technical management of suppliers and acquire resources for lab excellenceProvide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesExecute in alignment with the Technical Lead Engineer (TLE) principles of Advise, Assist and Check.

Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance for which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S.

Top Secret/SSBI clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or equivalent experience10+ years as of experience as a leader or manager10+ years of electrical engineering and design experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active Top Secret/SSBI clearanceSystem Architecture experienceModel Based Engineering experienceModel Based Systems Engineering experienceModel Based Definition experienceHands-on experience using any of the following commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment: PSAs (high performance spectrum analyzers); RF vector signal generators, network analyzers, AWGs (arbitrary waveform generators) or OscilloscopesExperience designing a PCB used in a test article, custom panel used in a test system or flight articleExperience designing a test rack(s) comprised of any COTS equipment listed aboveExperience using test requirements to develop an initial concept for a test system that will be used to complete production or IR& D testing of a satelliteor aerospace end itemHW/SW integration and test experience Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
