As part of the Environmental Control Systems (ECS) group you will be working on components that directly impact the safety of airline passengers.
You’ll be an integral part of supporting the modification of all in-service Boeing Commercial Airplane models to meet our customers’ needs.

Position ResponsibilitiesApplies fundamental concepts to the development and documentation of Environmental Control Systems (air conditioning, air distribution, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, cargo fire protection, nitrogen generating system, ice/rain protection, thermal analysis, computational fluid dynamics, etc.) design and analysis on large fixed wing aircraftAssesses complex system events to determine potential safety issues, utilizing airplane spatial integration at the system and component levelContributes to development of hardware and software component and system design requirements, and support supplier qualification of these components and systemsSupports component and system laboratory/airplane testing to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirementsWorks under general supervision with airline customers and airplane component suppliers to ensure effective system integration and customer satisfactionWillingness to expand into technical areas without prior experienceDesire to continuously improve our airplanesSome travel may be required to support our customers as well as to have learning experiences to enhance your career.

US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degreeExperience working in a multi-disciplined Systems Engineering environment3+ years of experience working with or on an engineering team1+ years of experience with any engineering disciplines related to aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis, including compressible/incompressible fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, physical chemistry, systems engineering, and/or computational fluid dynamics Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Masters degree or higher preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, or similarExperience in the production, modification, and/or conversion of airplanesExperience in a team lead role delegating responsibilities among several teammatesExperience working with multiple functions/teams Typical Education/ Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
