Maritime Undersea (MU) is a growing business focused on delivering complex solutions from seabed to space!
As an MU Mechanical Design Engineering, you will be part of a bi-costal team delivering the best solutions for todays complex undersea engineering challenges.
Our products range from unique Integration Mission solutions to highly capable Autonomous Extra-Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (XLUUVs).
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing engineering solutions for key mechanisms and structures, and leading other to ensure full system designs.
In this role you will be joining a cross-functional team to progress our products through the development lifecycle.
You will have opportunities to collaborate with the Chief Engineer, technical experts, and our customers, as well as provide technical support to suppliers.
The day-to-day activities of this position will be a combination of traditional design engineering (including CAD, drafting, drawing reviews, etc), collaborating with cross-functional peers, leading and mentoring others, presenting technical challenges and solutions to leadership, and Technical Supplier Management (TSM).
Our Bi-Costal team is located in Herndon, VA and Huntington Beach, CA with active growth at both sites!
A Top Secret Clearance and ability to obtain additional clearance will enable you to engage on our most cutting edge programs.
TravelThis position will require some travel to suppliers and other Boeing locations to support development, test and production (typically less than 10% travel).
Typical Education/Experience:Typical minimum 9 years of experience in an engineering discipline, or a Masters and 7 years of related work experience Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):**This position requires an active Top Secret U.S.
Security Clearance pre startfor which the U.S.
Government requires U.S.
