Maritime Undersea (MU) is a growing business focused on delivering complex solutions from seabed to space!

As a MU Associate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of a bi-costal team delivering the best solutions for todays complex undersea engineering challenges.

Our products range from unique Integration Mission solutions to highly capable Autonomous Extra-Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (XLUUVs).

Our Bi-Costal team is located in Huntington Beach, CA and Herndon, VA with active growth at both sites!

As an Associate Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing engineering solutions for key mechanisms and structures, growing towards full system designs.

In this role you will be joining a cross-functional team to progress our products through a full development lifecycle.

You will have opportunities to collaborate with mentors, technical experts, and our customers, as well as provide technical support to suppliers.The day-to-day activities of this position will be a combination of traditional design engineering (including CAD, drafting, drawing reviews, etc), collaborating with cross-functional peers, and Technical Supplier Management (TSM).

Depending on the phase of the program and your developmental interests, hands-on support opportunities may be available, including at sea testing!

**This position requires an active Top Secret U.S.

Security Clearance pre startfor which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher inMechanical orAerospace Engineering or related technical fieldExperience designing mechanisms and/or primary structure in aerospace or maritime applicationsExperience designing with CAD ToolsCollaborates cross-functionally with multiple organizationsMust be willing to submit to a CI PolygraphThis position will require some travel to suppliers and other Boeing locations to support development, test and production (typically less than 10% travel).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Special Program Access or other Government Access RequirementsExperience with undersea products, and the associated impacts on material propertiesExperience with Engineering Release process (including conceptual design, drawing review and approval)Tools: NX, CATIA, TeamCenter, NASTRANExperience with production and fabrication support, including:Material Review Board (MRB)Non-Conformance (NCR) dispositionSupplier Information Requests (SIR) Typical Education/Experience:Typical minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering discipline, or a Masters and 3 years of related work experience Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Shift:This position is for 1st shift.
