For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Associate Thermal Design and Analysis Engineer located in El Segundo, CA.

The Associate Thermal Design/Analysis Engineer supports the design, analysis, development and documentation of mechanical system and thermal environment for satellite product lines.

You will be part of Boeing’s Space & Launch, In-Space Vehicles team.

Position Responsibilities Include:Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers.Performs detail design and analysis development and modification of mechanical, electrical, and thermal system installations.Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.Assists in establishing and documenting environmental/thermal engineering and system level design requirements (e.G.

performance, environment, functionality, life, envelope, integration).Assists in performing and documenting analyses of environmental/thermal components and systems using models and tools to validate or assess the design.Supports the development of ideas and concepts for future environmental/thermal control.

Launch and On-Orbit Spacecraft Mission and Spacecraft Thermal Vacuum Testing support is expected.We help our entry level employees to see the full system picture of satellite design from the beginning of a contract through to satellite build, test, and final launch.You will get to see the full system and can participate in every step growing from an analyst to a leader or manager, or staying technical and diving deep into an aerospace technology.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

An interim and/or final U.S.

Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s, Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryExperience collaborating across multi-discipline engineering team Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Education or experience in basic and advanced thermodynamics and heat transferExperience with numerical analysis tools such as SINDA FLUINT, Thermal Desktop, CFD, etc.

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

Master).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
