Please continue YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS: The Benefits Counselor contributes to AHF by projecting and integrating the mission and values, within and outside, the Healthcare Center Department by communicating clearly, effectively and sensitively to patients, staff and other members of the healthcare team.

Offering patient intake interviews, financial screenings and registering for Ryan White and AIDs Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) services.

The primary duties of the Benefits Counselor/Insurance Eligibility is coordinating with the Nurse Manger and other AHF healthcare providers to assist with insurance and financial patient matters.

Ensuring that appropriate documentation for patient eligibility is filed and entered into our computer database.

The Benefits Counselor presents a friendly and helpful face to patients that need assistance in completing applications and obtaining pertinent information from family members and/or significant others as it relates to benefits and financial information.

Lending a helpful hand at other Healthcare Centers as needed and always being collaborative in any environment.
