This person would recommend the best programs aligned to the organization to develop innovative and best in class Benefits and wellness programs.
This position will also assist in compensation market analysis and playing a role in the year end compensation process.ResponsibilitiesEnsures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in order to provide vendors with accurate eligibility informationAssists with new-hire orientationsPerforms quality checks of benefits-related dataAssists employees regarding benefits claims issues and plan changesDistributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibilityEnrolls employees with carriers and process status changes by developing EDI Feeds for automation and handling fall outs and queries accordinglyDetermines employee interests by conducting surveys, focus groups, and analyzing responses for new programs such as wellness.Responds to benefits inquiries from employees and physicians on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiriesProcesses and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLAResponds to 401k inquiries from employees and physicians relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amountsManages the open enrollment processProvides necessary reports for allocation/billing chargesManages cell phone stipend program for the entire company ensuring we develop a fully auditable and equitable policyUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in organizationsUpdates and maintains Benefit procedures and guides for business continuityExperience in managing leave of absence, time-off, and workers compensation programsIn-depth understanding of state and local laws governing leave such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA to help ensure complianceExcellent analytical skills to research and evaluate programs to make informed decisionsExcellent writing skills for reports and benefit information sharingParticipate in community investment and initiative programsQualificationsExtensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable lawsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study5 () years’ experience in benefits and compensation administrationModerately advanced in Excel, Word, and PowerpointProficient in several benefit platforms with an ease to pick up new platformsWhy AHEAD:Through our daily work and internal groups like Moving Women AHEAD and RISE AHEAD, we value and benefit from diversity of people, ideas, experience, and everything in between.We fuel growth by stacking our office with top-notch technologies in a multi-million-dollar lab, by encouraging cross department training and development, sponsoring certifications and credentials for continued learning.We understand that you have a life outside of work.
