The AVP of Los Angeles Cash operations oversees the second largest Cash Operation for the Federal Reserve System, ensuring that sufficient currency and coin are in circulation to meet public demand. Oversight responsibilities include accepting deposits of excess and unfit currency from depository financial institutions, preparing currency and coin for distribution, and removing both counterfeit and unfit currency from circulation. As a core member of our District Cash Services leadership team, you will play a key role in implementing our strategic plan, supporting the overall mission and vision of the team, and providing thought leadership to the Bank and the Federal Reserve System cash community. If you don’t have Banking experience – no worries – What we do need is your expertise in Risk management, Operations, Compliance, and leadership You will: Carry out oversight responsibilities for the Cash Administration, Paying and Receiving and High-Speed Processing units in accordance with established Bank, Board of Governors and Treasury Department policies, controls, and procedures in a compliance and regulatory-focused environment Direct the operation with a vision toward the future and a strategy that inspires and motivates employees to deliver superior performance Encourage diverse perspectives and innovative thinking and approaches by individuals and teams within the Cash operation Build a strong workforce capable of meeting the business challenges of today while developing the skills and abilities of the workforce to meet the challenges of tomorrow Establish and influence strategic direction that seeks to improve operational systems, processes, and policies Champion the department’s success by providing leadership and mentorship in achieving a strong compliance environment, meeting performance metrics, and ensuring strong communication and information flows between management, employees and across operating shifts You have: Significant leadership and people management experience with strong interpersonal and organization skills Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field of study; or relevant associated work experience Demonstrated leadership ability and the ability to initiate, lead and sustain change in the work environment Strong critical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to synthesize a range of data and information Demonstrated ability to multi-task work and perform well under pressure Excellent writing, speaking, negotiation and presentation skills Project management skills with a focus on building high performance relationships and processes to drive projects forward Ability to anticipate and solve complex business issues in a well-informed, accurate, and logical manner Demonstrated experience and versatility working collaboratively across offices and functions to build relationships and influence key constituents, both internally and externally Proven ability to initiate action, adapt to change, make difficult decisions and accept challenging assignments Demonstrated ability to assess and when necessary, adapt new strategies to achieve key objectives in a dynamic environment Preferred Skills: Experience in a highly regulated and compliance-oriented environment Senior level project management/leadership experience Hiring Salary Range: Los Angeles: Min: $168,100 Mid: $219,000 Max: $269,600 Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
