Program Analyst (acquisition)

Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S.

Transportation Command, Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) Responsibilities As a PROGRAM ANALYST (ACQUISITION) at the GS-0343-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) Senior Requirements Analyst(Acquisition) for planning, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of acquisition and contract administration in support of multi-CONUS and OCONUS initiatives.

Provide advice and assistance in recognition and resolution of special, urgent, and unique problems associated with contract oversight/execution.

Plan and coordinate the development of current contract renewals/extension and proposed new contracts to evaluate their actual or potential effectiveness in achieving the planned goals and objectives.

Assist the staff and subordinate units with the development of Requests for Information, Statements of Work (SOW), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), and development and coordination of the Contract Security Classification Specification (Form DD254).

Participate in the preparation of project and management implementation plans to assure that resources are properly and clearly identified; this includes preparation/review of resource plans to include labor hours, materials, contracts, and overhead factors.

Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Planning, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of acquisition and contract administration.

Planning and coordinating the development of current contract renewals/extension and proposed new contracts.

Performing cost analysis during review of Statements of Work (SOW) contract taskings and special studies.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
