Our location in Irving, TX , currently has an opportunity for Associate Systems Integration Specialist.

WHAT YOULL DO Develops and executes system related (i.e., hardware, software, labeling and/or assay) verification & validation and/or characterization protocols and develops written data package summaries in accordance with governing procedures.

Identifies and confirms causes behind instrument issues, discrepancies, problems or complaints in accordance with governing procedures.

Devises root cause hypotheses and confirms instrument issues, discrepancies, problems or complaints in accordance with governing procedures.

Defines investigative paths and confirms Complaint Handling investigations to closure Responsibilities Participates in system, software, hardware design reviews and test planning reviews to support assessment of performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions Writes and executes moderately complex system related (i.e., hardware, software, labeling and/or assays) verification and/or characterization protocols, analyzes data, writes data summaries in accordance with governing procedures.

Moderate troubleshooting of customer complaints in accordance with governing procedures.

Moderate troubleshooting across multiple system functions (i.e., hardware and software.) Moderate proficiency in operation of instrument, and repair/replacement of parts/subassemblies.

Applies quantitative methods, analyzes data, evaluates results, forms conclusions and provides/implements improvements.

Receives general direction; exercises moderate discretion as to personal work details.

Ensures issues are thoroughly documented and communicated to respective design teams and elevates risks to program management EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRING Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience Bachelors degree in Life or Physical Science, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering or closely related discipline is preferred.

0 years work experience with degree or sufficient transferable experience to demonstrate functional equivalence to a degree.

May have knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.

Good Lab Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, laboratory duties, PC Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Data representation.

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or systems engineering 2-year lab experience with Good Lab Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice Root cause analysis experience Basic statistical analysis and data visualization experience helpful for investigation of customer issues/trends WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
