Associate General Counsel, Commercial Expertise: Location: Expertise: Location: Commercial,Licensing/Technology Transactions San Francisco Bay Area or New York or Los Angeles Commercial,Licensing/Technology Transactions San Francisco Bay Area or New York or Los Angeles Our client, a thriving AdTech company, has exclusively retained Solutus Legal Search to find an outstanding attorney with 10+ years of experience to serve as Associate General Counsel, Commercial, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial and Corporate. The Associate General Counsel, Commercial is a leadership role within the legal and compliance team acting as a key advisor on various legal issues and risks, business strategies, complex commercial and technology transactions, as well as building out key infrastructure. The Associate General Counsel will have significant interaction with and advisory duties relating to the company’s offices in Europe and Asia. There will also be the opportunity for this role to expand into relevant aspects of privacy, corporate activities, and regulatory and governance matters. Over time, the role will work closely with the executive and management teams to support business expansion activities. In summary, job duties include: * Managing and expanding on the company’s framework for commercial matters, including privacy and security. * Building and operating contract management operations globally. * Leading drafting, negotiation, and revision of contracts relating to global initiatives, partners, alliances, professional services, support, and vendor agreements. * Leading the legal expansion in key international jurisdictions and drafting and negotiating a variety of complex technology transactions that are both domestic and international in scope. * Directing and managing key commercial customer agreements globally, including insertion orders, master services agreements for client’s advertising and web analytics platform, and data protection agreements for privacy law compliance. * Reviewing requests for approval of ad campaigns based on applicable company policies and assisting with revisions to such policies based on evolving local law. * Performing other related duties as assigned by the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial and/or the General Counsel. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and a passionate and professional team player who is detail-oriented, enthusiastic, diligent, resourceful and wants to be part of a close and collaborative team. Law firm and/or in-house experience in advertising, technology, privacy, and data protection is highly desirable. Candidates with AdTech experience are preferred and will possess a competitive advantage for the role. Compensation is competitive and includes equity. The company is based in San Francisco, but this position may be remote for up to two years, and then located in San Francisco, New York, or Los Angeles, once employees are welcomed back to work.
