Assistant/Companion Needed for Quick-Witted Older Gentleman:
Hello! Wonderful older gentleman and retired physician needs a companion to engage him daily! This is a traditional companion role and the family wants to keep him engaged and stimulated with activities and conversation. While he is in very good health and does not need traditional caregiving services, he is completely blind so accommodations will need to be made. The family would also like assistance driving him to and fro appointments.
This is an ideal job for a responsible college student or even a mature high school student who can be available to drive him to appointments and plan select activities. He is seeking conversation and wants to be engaged about what’s happening in the world. If you enjoy talking politics, science, tech, food – you can get paid to be a friend! This is NOT a nursing position, however it is a good fit for anyone who has done caretaking jobs and is in transition.
Highest preference: Hindu-speaking candidate who also speaks English
Transportation: Required
Vaccinated Status: Proof of Vaccination + Booster
Rate: From $20/hr or DOE
Hours: Flexible
