Position Summary: The Anesthesia Technician works cooperatively with the Lead Anesthesia Technologist/Technician to provide support for anesthesiologists and anesthesia providers caring for patients during surgical procedures and non-surgical sedations at CHLA. Provides care based on the age and developmental needs of the patient. Demonstrates commitment to the CHLA family centered model of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years as a Certified Anesthesia Technician with emphasis on clinical procedures required and a graduate of an ASATT approved program. Completion of required clinical components. Education/Licensure/Certifications: Graduate of an ASATT approved program and a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. ASATT Certification Required: Obtains and maintains certification as Anesthesia Technologist or Anesthesia Technician from the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologist within 1 year of hire.
