Aerojet Rocketdyne: Senior Analyst, Business Operations

We offer a complete line of propulsion products for launch vehicles, missile defense, and advanced hypersonic propulsion.We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Business Operations to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

You will prepare and maintain budgets, establish earnings plans, and develop estimates at completion of assigned government aerospace/defense projects.

Under supervision, this role will apply Earned Value Management, finance, and accounting skills; approve requisitions; prepare financial reporting on a major defense program; use metrics associated with management best practices; and prepare reports to reflect Awards, Sales, Profit, and Cash.

You may assist proposal teams, develop Bases-of-Estimate, provide actuals data, and support fact-finding/negotiations as needed.This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):Working limited general direction:80% Compile budget and project cost performance (external and internal financial reports) data and present to lead Business Specialist.

Understand and incorporate necessary changes.

Assists in the analysis of data and prepares financial reports, including graphs and charts, for Program Managers and other internal and external customers.

Create financial spreadsheets including ad hoc reports.

Interface with management on financial matters.20% Assist in providing forecast of program awards, sales, profit and staffing by entering financial data into Excel spreadsheets.

Review data with lead.Requirements:Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or an appropriate discipline and six (6) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Requires mathematical ability to accurately perform calculations used in cost/budget analysis.Must have strong foundation of computer skills and be proficient using imported and/or exported data.

Requires familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; Access experience is a plus.

This position requires an understanding of general accounting principles and Earned Value Management, including the ability to accurately assess cost data and forecast expenditures.
