Visit our website at www.Rocket.Com for more information on our company, our products and our mission.We have an immediate need for a Principal Strategy Analyst to support our Strategy and Business Development organization for our Space Business Unit with competitive assessments, strategy development, and price-to-win analyses.In this role, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and tracking various markets, companies, and trends across the space industry with a focus on Aerojet Rocketdyne’s Space Business Unit products and market segments.

You will be responsible for synthesizing researched data into relevant assessments for key pursuits that help improve AR’s competitive positioning, inform strategies to compete and win new business, and assist in decision making for strategic planning.

You will also be responsible for maintaining various databases, supporting business case assessments, and tracking the latest space industry news and trends.This positon will be based at our Canoga Park, CA Space Headquarters.

Flexible work may be considered.This position may be filled at this level posted or one level higher.Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):15% Lead competitive assessments for strategy development, capture execution, proposal development, and Price-to-Win analyses.15% Researching, distilling, and presenting information to management in a compelling narrative and graphical form.15% Analyzing and tracking trends in various markets and reporting on those trends.15% Supporting business case assessments and financial modeling for new business opportunities.15% Analyzing competitors, including analysis of financial and contract information as well as market strategies and competitive behavior.15% Developing data driven presentations and memos on competitors, trends, and market information to assist in strategy and decision making.10% Maintain databases in Excel.Requirements:Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least nine (9) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

MBA preferred.Preferred Qualifications:General knowledge of the Aerospace and Defense industry with an interest in the space sector.Basic understanding of how the Federal Government works, including the budget process and the procurement process.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.Intellectual curiosity to continue researching, analyzing, and synthesizing competitive information.Ability to:Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Research, analyze and distill a lot of information quickly, and be able to effectively communicate that information in a form that is relevant to AR.Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.Ability to work independently and to problem solve in order to develop strategies and recommendationsDevelop visual representation of data and analysis, including, but not limited to scatterplots, graphs, charts and tables.
