Adams Vegetable Oils Inc: Traffic Coordinator

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Our Crushing & Refining operations are comprised of crushing, refining, marketing and transportation of vegetable oil products and related specialty products.

AVO specializes in organic, non-GMO and technical oils for specialty food and cosmetic customers.We are looking for a detail-oriented Traffic Coordinator to direct and monitor the flow of materials and resources through the company.

The Traffic Coordinators responsibilities include:Oversees the coordination and routing of inbound and outbound domestic and international shipmentsDisseminates information and schedules for the timely delivery of resources and materialsPrepares accurate progress reports for co-workersEnsures that customer difficulties or problems/claims are investigated and resolvedNegotiates and secures pricing/contracts with transportation providers and customersMaintains knowledge of best practices including the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methodsMaintains knowledge of regulations related to transportation including those related to hazardous shipments, employee safety, INCO terms and freight classificationsIn collaboration with managers, develops and implements policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for transportation operationsEnsures compliance with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, and government regulationsReviews and analyzes expenditures and other financial information; uses results to developand implement plans, policies, and budgets.Performs other related duties as assignedIdentifying opportunities to adjust and revise work processes in order to increase efficiencyParticipate in regular meetings to ensure that staff is aware of looming deadlines and potential problemsRegularly tracking and updating shipment statusesOversees the collection, production and routing paperwork (export documents) of shipments.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Basic/Required:Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applicationsProven experience developing schedules and timelinesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDetail-orientedThe ability to multi-taskThe ability to work in a high-pressure environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong logistical, analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skillsPreferred:Fluent in English and Spanish            ÂPosition Requirements:Legally authorized to work in the job posting countryAvailable to work overtime including some weekendsWilling to work in any of our operating locations (Arbuckle and Woodland)Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
